Colour Sons is a collaboration between Chicago based indie veterans Doleful Lions and coL. Becoming first aware of The Lions' music while working in the used CD dept. of a NYC record shop in 2003, coL used a sample of one of their tracks in his first live performance; an opening reception for the Brooklyn Art & History Center. While working together three years later, coL used the same sample in one of the Colour Sons tracks.
